Translators of Cultures is a non-profit organization with more than twenty years of experience in serving minority youth to be confident and successful not just in schools, but in life, in their future jobs, and to be of service in their community.

In October of 2023 Translators of Culture will be launching it’s STARS III program with a mission to identify, inspire, and train minority leaders, helping them gain confidence and knowledge of community needs, and to acquire leadership skills.

“At wake, we have been working with Translators of Cultures for the past 3 years. We love the work that they do, cultivating environments for young people from all over the world to feel comfortable in their own skin.” – wake

Serving minority youth to be confident and successful not just in schools, but in life, in their future jobs, and to be of service in their community.

“The STARS youth leadership initiatives have been implemented three years in a row, with the first one, starting in the fall of 2021 (during the COVID time). These youth initiatives have a strong educational, leadership, and community outreach component. We are gratified and proud to launch the STARS-III initiative in October of 2023.” – TOC

Diversity in Sioux Falls is growing and blooming in front of our eyes. Many Sioux Falls public schools have nearly 50% of minority students. But, regrettably, it is not always reflected in our public institutions or leadership positions. The STARS III program is geared towards preparing minority youth for life after high school.
